During magic hours at the parks, how do cast members know who isn't staying at a Disney resort and can't stay in the park?

    Hey there, Lisa!

Extra Magic Hours is the perfect way to have a little bit more magic added to your Disney day in the park.

For Walt Disney World Resort guests, you can experience Extra Magic Hours offered during the morning hours or at night.

When entering the park during the morning or evening once Extra Magic Hours have begun, guests much use their Magic Band or Admission Card to get into the park. Resort information is stored on your Magic Band or Admission Card notifying Cast Members at the entrance if you are a resort guest. Those staying on Disney property will be admitted entrance.

For guests who enter the park in the afternoon or early evening hours before the evening Extra Magic Hours begin, Cast Members are placed throughout the park to scan Magic Bands or Admission Cards to verify if you are a resort guest. For those that are not staying on property and are still in the parks during those hours, will be asked to exit the park, as this event is a special benefit for resort guests!

I hope this helps give you a better idea of how Extra Magic Hours works! Wishing you pixie-dusted planning!

Enjoy your upcoming Walt Disney World vacation!
