During our last visit (5 years ago) we were able to ride in the cockpit of the monorail and my daughter received a 'jr pilots license.' This will be my sons first visit. Can you still ride in the cockpit of the monorail and get a license?

Hi, Kevin! Unfortunately, guests are no longer able to ride in the cockpit of the monorail.  However, the Cast Members at the monorail stations may be able to tell you if they still have the Junior Pilot Licenses. As an alternative, sometimes Jungle Cruise Skippers recruit the help of a young guest to "drive" the boat.  Just make sure you sit toward the front of the boat, and tell your son to be enthusiastic if the skipper calls for a volunteer. Also, a captain of one of the ferry boats recently handed one of my sons a "Junior Captain" badge as we exited the ferry (although he had done nothing to "earn" the badge!) Disney Cast Members constantly amaze us with how they make a vacation special for each one of our children.  I'm sure a new and unexpected tradition will emerge for your son, too. Have a wonderful day and a most magical vacation!
