During our last visit, my son saw a bike that held several people. Has anyone ever rented this type of bike? Where can we do this? How many people can ride it? 4 adults and 2 kids under 5.

Those are called surrey bikes, and they are a ton of fun!

Surrey bikes are available for rental in half-hour increments at select locations throughout the WDW resort.  You'll find bikes that can hold up to 4 people (plus two little ones in the basket up front) at the Caribbean Beach Resort, Coronado Springs, and Port Orleans Riverside.  I would think that size would work well for your group but you'll have to verify that with the Cast Member who helps you with your rental.  If I'm wrong and your party won't fit on one of the four-seaters, grand surrey bikes, the largest bikes available, can be found at the BoardWalk Resort.  We once fit a group of ten (including two small children) on one of the grand surrey bikes.

I highly recommend making time in your trip to rent a surrey bike and pedal your way around the world!  It's a lot of fun for the whole family.  In our case we laughed so hard we could barely make our way around the BoardWalk.  Hopefully you'll be more successful, but equally giggly.  Have fun!

Given your inclination to plan a magical trip, I can already tell we have a lot in common. I'm Darcie, and my friends would be the first to tell you that Disney trip planning (especially dining!) is my love language. Of course, the vacations my family enjoys today look much different than they did when our kids were little, but while some of our favorite activities have evolved, Disney destinations still top our travel wish lists. Let's work together to plan a downright dreamy vacation for your family! Learn More About Darcie
