Hi Maxie!
Or as they say in
Finding Nemo, “Welcome aboard explorers! Let’s get this show started!” By the way, I’m loving all the questions from you about Disney Cruise Line and sailing out in the “Big Blue.” So excited for your upcoming sailing and helping you with your cruise planning.
You will be thrilled to know that even when school is in session back home, the
Youth Clubs on all Disney cruises are always available. Mr. Ray, the teacher from
Finding Nemo would totally approve! Both the
Oceaneer Club and
Oceaneer Lab welcome kids ages 3-12, and those explorers will wear an Oceaneer Band that is very similar to a MagicBand. These bands are used for checking in and out of the Youth Clubs. Bands are to be returned at the end of your sailing, or Guests may keep the band and a small fee will be charged to your stateroom account. Just one of the ways that kids can feel in charge of their vacation fun!
If you have the Second Seating for
rotational dining, Disney Cruise Line offers a Dine and Play feature that we enjoyed when our now teenage kids were younger. The young guppies would have their meal expedited so they can leave early with the youth counselors to go join the fun in the Oceaneer Club and Oceaneer Lab. Let me just say what a wonderful perk this is: the kids love getting to go play with friends and the grown-ups can linger over dinner with some adult time.
Maxie, just keep swimming back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. We may want to shout, “Mine! Mine Mine!” when your questions come in, but I promise that we will dive in and get back with an answer just as quickly as we can. As Crush would say, have a totally
righteous vacation!
Bon Voyage!
Sherry
