During Halloween if you go to MK on 10/30 or 10/31 and don't want to pay the extra ticket price to attend the MNSSHP do you have to leave the park when it starts at 7? Or can reg ticket holders stay & just not attend the party?

Hi Peggy, during Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party nights, when the park closes to regular guests, those entering the park with MNSSHP tickets will be given wristbands as they come in. Cast members will be stationed at the beginning of all the "lands" within the Magic Kingdom and will be asking to see wristbands as you pass by. Cast members running the attractions will also be checking wristbands before you are allowed to enter a ride. If you do not have a wristband, you will be directed toward the park exit, since it is open only to separate party ticket holders at that time.

The party is actually going on all throughout the Magic Kingdom, with trick-or-treat stations, attractions staying open late, the Boo-to-You parade and HalloWishes fireworks display, so there isn't a separate area for the party. If you can, I highly recommend attending Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party. It's one of my very favorite special events and totally worth the ticket price!

I hope that helps with your planning and you enjoy Halloween at Disney World!
