During extre extra magic hours, do any restaurants or coffee shops open early?

    Hi Shirley,

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I was really excited when I read the announcement about the limited-time extra, Extra Magic Hours benefit for Guests staying at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel. I already adore morning Extra Magic Hours – I think it’s so magical to be in the theme parks first thing in the morning, when the air is cooler and I can enjoy the gorgeous Florida morning skies. An “extra” early start to the day sounds just perfect to me!

The extra, Extra Magic Hours benefit hasn’t been offered before, so we’re still waiting on some details. They’re still getting their droids in a row for the opening of Black Spire Outpost when Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge makes its debut on August 29, 2019 and putting all the final touches on this amazing land. For now, we don’t know about dining hours during extra, Extra Magic Hours, but I encourage you to visit the web page for the restaurant you’re interested in to see if hours have been released for your visit dates. If you don’t see any, keep checking – and I’m sending some pixie dust that you get answers soon.

I also recommend checking with a Cast Member at your Walt Disney World Resort hotel when you arrive. They’re always so knowledgeable and helpful, and it’s their pleasure to help you enjoy all the benefits of staying at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel. The Cast Member you speak with might even share some tips on where to get the best breakfast treats and coffee drinks.

Shirley, you’ll be able to pick up breakfast items like fruit, milk, cereal, and yogurt in your resort hotel’s Quick-Service dining location during its operating hours. It might make sense to stock up and keep those items in your room so you have options for those early hours. My family sometimes orders groceries to our room so we have breakfast items and snacks on hand – it’s a great way to save money and time.

Please keep an eye on the Disney Parks Blog as you count down the days to your visit – they have been releasing lots of great details about new experiences, tasty treats, and helpful planning tips. If you have any more questions as you plan and dream, please come back and see us!

    Wishing you a magical vacation,
    Robyn
