Hi Bob and welcome to planDisney.
I am so delighted to hear that you'll be bringing your 93-year old mother-in-law with you to Walt Disney World, next Easter. You're never too young, or too old, to experience some Disney magic, if you ask me!
I am happy to share that
Parking for Guests with Disabilities is available throughout Walt Disney World and that a valid Blue Badge can be used to access this. Just be sure to display the Blue Badge on the dashboard of your vehicle or, somewhere visible each time you park your car.
In order to make your mother-in-law's visit as smooth and enjoyable as possible, I would highly recommend checking out the
Guests with Disabilities Overview section of the Walt Disney World website, prior to your visit.
If, after reading this information, you have any specific questions relating to disability services, specialist Cast Members are contactable via email at disability.services@disneyparks.com.
Depending on your mother-in-law's specific disabilities, it may also be worth researching the
Disability Access Service (DAS). This free service is intended to accommodate those Guests who, due to a developmental disability like autism or similar, are unable to wait in a conventional queue for an extended period of time. Guests from the UK can apply for DAS, via video chat, once they arrive in the United States.
Top Tip - You can
use this link to speak with a Cast Member from the DAS team (please do note, however, that this will only work once you are in the US and you'll need to scroll down the page to where it says "Speak with a Cast Member").
I hope that this information has been of use, Bob. Please feel free to re-visit us, here at planDisney, if we can be of any other help with the planning of your trip.
Wishing you a magical holiday filled with memories which will last a lifetime!
Emma
