Ahoy there, Rebecca!
Welcome aboard planDisney! Dining is one of my favorite parts of a Disney cruise, especially as you rotate through each restaurant and get a
completely different experience every night. It keeps things fresh and gives you something new to look forward to at dinner.
The short answer to your question is absolutely, yes! You and your crew can order from either menu if something catches your eye or if you’re just in the mood for a smaller portion. Adults ordering from the kids’ menu is no problem at all, and kids can order from the adult menu too. Disney keeps things flexible so everyone at the table can find exactly what they’re craving.
Most of the
main dining portions are fairly reasonable, but I’ve definitely had nights where I wasn’t looking for a full entrée. That’s where the kids’ menu can come in clutch. Simple, smaller portions, and still just as satisfying. It’s a great option when you want to keep things light but still enjoy the full dining experience.
My crew and I have also had those moments where the entrée didn’t quite match what we were in the mood for, but an appetizer stood out. We’ve asked for that appetizer to be served as an entrée, and the dining team has always been more than willing to help when they can. They really go above and beyond to make sure your meal works for you.
And when it comes to dessert, this is not the time to hold back. If you’re stuck between two options, go ahead and try both. No one is stopping you. It’s one of those rare vacation moments where saying “I’ll take one of each” is completely acceptable and highly encouraged.
I hope this
helps you feel confident ordering exactly what works best for you each night. Whether you’re going with something light, mixing menus, or trying a little bit of everything, you really can’t go wrong. Dinner is your time to relax and enjoy it your way.
Sea ya real soon with warm air, calm seas, and a ship that always feels like home,
