Hiya, Joann! Welcome to
planDisney. You’re going to have a grand ole’ time staying at
Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa. Walking into the lobby and taking in the majestic craftsman-style architecture still takes my breath away.
You’re also doing it right by looking into a cabana! There’s nothing better than taking a break from the parks to enjoy the resort
poolside.
Cabanas at the Grand Californian accommodate up to 8 people and offer a wide range of
amenities. There is also a cabana waiter available to take food and drink orders throughout your stay. This is going to be the highlight of the trip!
I spoke with a friendly cast member regarding availability and pricing. The cast member wasn’t able to give specific availability to me since I didn’t have a reservation, but did advise that calling as soon as possible would be best. He said there is some availability earlier in the week, but the end of the week is pretty full. Call (714) 635-2300 and select option “9” to book, and be sure to have that confirmation number ready. At the moment, a full-day cabana costs $575, and a half-day costs $425, though prices are subject to change.
There are amazing restaurants at and around your hotel!
Hearthstone Lounge is one of my favorite table-service restaurants in all of
Disneyland Resort. The
French Onion Soup is amazing, and the wine and spirits list is superb! The recently refurbished
Napa Rose is another astounding restaurant that will not disappoint, and
Storyteller’s Cafe is the favorite amongst my kids. It’s a great buffet, and your favorite Disney pals will stop by to say hello right at your table. Don’t forget, all of
Downtown Disney District is also right outside the hotel! There are so many great options.
Joann, I hope you’re able to book that cabana and have a wonderful trip at the Disneyland Resort. You’re visiting during a great time of year, when all the
parades and
nighttime spectaculars are playing nightly, and there is a special energy across the parks. You’re going to have a magical time!
