During the Christmas season will I be able to see the Christmas parade and fireworks on the extra magic hours when the park closes at 11pm or do I have to buy a ticket for the Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party to see the Christmas parade/fireworks.

    Hi Gloria,

Did you know that as of today, there are only 163 days until Christmas? It sounds like you look forward to the holidays just as much as I do, and there is certainly nothing better than celebrating the season at Disney!

Gloria, if you are visiting anytime up until December 22, and looking to take in the magical holiday themed fireworks or Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade at Magic Kingdom, you will have to purchase a ticket to attend one of the Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Parties. The Parties kick off this year on November 9, 2017, running select nights up until December 22, 2017. You can purchase tickets to Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party online now, and will want to do so early as certain nights can sell out.

While it appears that this year's entertainment schedule for December is not yet finalized, in past years Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade has been shown at Magic Kingdom in the afternoon, with holiday themed fireworks taking place in the evenings, from December 23 until December 31.

Gloria, if you will be visiting before December 23, I highly encourage you to attend one of the Parties. In addition to the parade and fireworks, there is plenty of holiday entertainment, special character greetings, and complimentary cookies and hot cocoa for guests. You may even catch a snowflake or two on Main Street, U.S.A. while serenaded by holiday tunes. In fact, I would definitely be willing to bet you a bag of Gingerbread Popcorn that it would likely be a highlight of your trip and the perfect way to put everyone in the Christmas spirit!

    Happy Holidays!
