Hiya Tracey,
Welcome back to planDisney! We are always so excited to see Guests like you come back and visit us. We love being a tiny part of your magical vacation memories, so please feel free to reach out anytime you have a question. Speaking of which, let's get to your question. I'm so sorry you weren't able to tick every one of your must-do meet-and-greets off your list during
Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party. We narrowly missed Princess Aurora last year, and I thought my then 3-year-old was going to disappear in a puddle of tears at the thought.
I know many characters temporarily pause meet-and-greets leading up to and during the fireworks. When I spoke to a Cast Member, they told me meet-and-greets can sometimes close early for the evening if they are especially popular. I'm not sure if that is what happened in your scenario, Tracey, but it is a large possibility. What I do know about the Pooh and Friends Halloween meet and greet at
Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is that it is one of the more popular ones for the parties. Lines can get incredibly long, and there are no guarantees it will be available post-Fireworks (or even during). My recommendation, Tracey, is that if this is a must-do for you and your family, prioritize it early so you don't miss the opportunity (probably either before or during the first Mickey's Boo-to-You Parade). Also, keep an eye on the My Disney Experience mobile app; it will keep you updated on which meet-and-greets are happening throughout the night so you can plan. Lastly, if you are really worried, you can always walk up to the Cast Member at the meet and greet and ask. They can tell you whether they expect to close the line early.
I hope this was helpful, Tracey, and that you get a chance to do everything on your list this year. If you need anything else, please come back and see us.
There is always room for one more question here at
planDisney!
Happy Planning,
Ashley F.
