Hey Matt,
It's always nice to welcome a fellow Virginian to planDisney. One of my favorite winter-time activities is planning a
Walt Disney World Resort vacation. Your late May arrival puts you in the heart of
The World's Magical Celebration as well as
EPCOT's International Flower and Garden Festival. Magical timing, indeed!
When planning a trip with others, it's important to link everyone as
Family and Friends in
My Disney Experience. Occasionally, signals can get crossed and you can end up with multiple profiles for the same person. This happened to me when a family member unknowingly created separate profiles for my children when making our lodging reservations. We didn't even realize there was a problem until their MagicBands wouldn't scan in at attractions. Since we were already on Disney property, a helpful Cast Member at Guest Relations helped us consolidate their profiles into one, ensuring no reservations were lost. Since you've noticed the problem well in advance, you have plenty of time to get things sorted out before your trip. A Cast Member at the
My Disney Experience and MagicBands number, (407) 939-4357, is best equipped to remove the duplicate person from your account while merging any applicable reservations and account information. You should expect a wait time, but having the right people on your Family and Friends list will make the process of making
dining reservations,
Disney Genie+ purchases, and
Individual Lightning Lane purchases much easier in the long run.
Before arrival, make sure you have everything you need for your first day in the theme parks:
valid admission ticket purchased and
linked to your My Disney Experience account,
Park Pass reservation, and form of entry (
MagicBand, card, or
MagicMobile pass.) Don't hesitate to reach out to planDisney with further questions.
Choose magic,
Jennifer
