Hi Jodie! Welcome to planDisney, where we happily answer all of your Disney vacation planning questions!
I'm so excited for you to experience all there is to see and do at the
Walt Disney World Resort this September! There are new experiences like
TRON Lightcycle / Run presented by Enterprise at
Magic Kingdom Park and
meeting Moana at
Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park. And the
EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival will be taking place in September as well. This is my favorite
EPCOT festival and now that many of the menus for the
Global Marketplaces have been announced, I'm more excited for this festival than I was before!
Many of us here at planDisney are instinctual planners so you can probably guess the advice that I would give you. I would recommend that you make your
Theme Park Reservations once you have secured your
theme park tickets. Then as your trip gets closer and you have a firm idea of exactly where you'd like to go and when, you can easily modify them through your
My Disney Experience account or the
My Disney Experience mobile app. The Walt Disney World Resort is a very popular place to visit and I would hate for you to get locked out of the parks. Would that definitely happen? Probably not. But there are no guarantees and as Scar would say, "Be prepared." And while he may be a villain, his message applies in this scenario!
The good news, Jodie, is that with vacations starting on or after January 9, 2024, Guests who have purchased date-based tickets will no longer be required to make Theme Park Reservations. So that is one less step and one less thing to worry about when planning future vacations.
If you have any other questions,
please don't hesitate to reach out to me. I will "go the distance" to find the answer to your questions!
