Welcome to planDisney, Robert! You must be so excited that your trip to Walt Disney World is coming up so soon.
Disney's All-Star Movies Resort is such a fun place to stay, and I totally understand wanting to be as close as possible to the main amenities to make things easier for your wife.
A preferred room is actually a specific room category that needs to be booked in advance, so if you originally reserved a standard room, you won't be able to request a preferred room as part of your
check-in requests. However, the good news is that you may be able to modify your reservation and switch to a preferred room as long as there is availability for your travel dates. I recommend checking your booking online,
calling Disney Resort Hotel Reservations, or getting in touch with your holiday provider or travel agent as soon as possible to see if it's possible to change the room category you reserved for your trip.
If a preferred room isn't available, no worries! You can still put in a room request for a location within your room category that's more accessible for your wife. While requests aren't guaranteed, everyone will do their best to accommodate your needs. Just give them a call, or if you booked through a travel agent, have them add the request to your reservation.
Have a magical day, Robert!
