Hello, Shawn!
Are you hoping to sail from one of Disney Cruise Line’s two Florida ports? I don’t blame you! Living in the Sunshine State myself, I love the convenience of being able to jump on a Disney ship for a tropical getaway. And what an exciting time to be a Disney Cruise Line fan! Disney will begin sailing to their new island,
Disney Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point in June. This tropical retreat celebrates the Bahamian culture, traditions, and stories. Based on the concept art, it looks fantastic! Before I get ahead of myself, let’s talk about booking your stateroom.
On the
Disney Cruise Line website, when you click on the tab for Guests, you can select an accessible stateroom. You can also click the blue text on the left-hand side of the screen that says, “Add Another Stateroom,” to reserve a second stateroom. When you search for cruises, you’ll see all the itineraries with accessible staterooms open.
Disney Cruise Line offers a variety of services for Guests with disabilities. I recommend downloading the
Information for Guests with Disabilities or Medical Conditions guidebook to get an overview of the services offered. Also, please contact
Disney Cruise Line Special Services to discuss your needs. They can help you reserve no-hassle Port Adventures by Accessible Travel Solutions that the whole family can enjoy together. These are perfect for those with limited mobility.
I hope I have been able to help today. If you have more questions, my pals and I are here for you.
SEAS the adventure!
