Due to an injury I may be unable to do the Disney World half-marathon in 2013. What do you think would be a better back-up plan: doing the Wine and Dine half-marathon in 2013 or waiting until 2014 to do the "official" half? Is one more fun than t

    Hi James!

Well, I am sorry to hear about this!  Injuries really put a damper on a runner's plans, don't they?

I think this is a hard choice.  I absolutely love both races, but the Wine and Dine is my personal favorite.  The reasons:
    1)  I like running at night
    2)  I like the course a little better (goes through three different parks)
    3)  The after-party at Epcot's International Food and Wine Festival
    4)  About half the number of runners run in the Wine and Dine than the Walt Disney World Half

Again, I think you would be happy with either choice and it will depend a lot on your schedule and when it is better for you to travel.  But, if I were going to choose between the two, I would probably choose Wine and Dine.  Not everyone loves running at night though, so that may be a deal breaker for you.

Please let me know if you have any other questions and I wish you a speedy recovery!
