Happy New Year, Dani-Leigh, and welcome to planDisney!
Thanks for stopping by to chat about your upcoming vacation to Walt Disney World Resort. I bet you are eagerly counting down the weeks until you’re in the middle of the
holiday magic with your precious princess. I know it seems like December is (Buzz) lightyears away, but it will be here before you know it!
Disability Access Service (DAS) is a service available to Guests who experience difficulty with the extended wait times found in standby queues due to a disability. While Guests outside of the United States cannot pre-register for DAS, they are able to complete the registration in person once they arrive. On the morning of your first theme park visit, get there extra early and head straight to the
Guest Relations location there. The friendly Cast Members will walk you through a series of questions to see if your daughter qualifies for DAS. Decisions are made on a case-by-case basis, so while there is no guarantee your daughter will indeed meet the qualifications, I know the Cast Member who helps you will take everything you say into account and make the most informed decision possible.
If your daughter qualifies for DAS after all, the Guest Relations Cast Member will then assist you with setting up your initial DAS selections. As you go about your day, keep an eye out for the
Guest Experience Team locations throughout the parks (marked with blue umbrellas), because the Cast Members there can assist you with making subsequent DAS selections or with any issues you run into while using the service.
I hope this information helps, Dani-Leigh. Please stop by planDisney again if you think of any other questions while planning out your jolly holiday. Have a magical day!
Warm hugs,
Alyssa
