Hello, Due to dietary restrictions (kosher) and having picky eaters, is it possible to order food from DoorDash or UberEats directly to the Disney parks? If so, is there a specific area such as by security where the food can be handed off? Thanks!

    Hi Eleanora,

    Welcome to planDisney!

First, let us celebrate your upcoming trip to the Walt Disney World® Resort! Well this is an interesting question. I called to speak with a cast member who believed that, if ordering from Uber Eats, you may be able to meet the driver in the ride share pick-up area of the parking lot. I always recommend that you double-check policies and procedures when you arrive. With two girls that have food allergies, one of whom has four significant food allergies, I actually believe you can dine well at the Disney parks.

One of the factors that affects my decision-making with Disney is the value of time. I would not consider trying to use a service like Uber Eats while at a theme park because the walk to and from the ride share area, assuming the driver can get there, is not a short walk. I would not want to lose 30 minutes of my day just walking to the parking lot to pick up food. We normally bring allergy-friendly snacks with us in our park bags. Since our girls have food allergies, we always check the menus of the dining locations we want to visit. Many of these menus have allergy sections on the menus so we can see which foods are suitable for our girls to eat. When we go a a restaurant, we can always talk to a chef to get more details about food options that are allergy-friendly. Our daughter with the most significant food allergies has loved dining at Disney because she feels so well-cared for and has more food options that are really good!

Even if you have picky eaters, with so many fantastic options in the theme parks, I would find a few options in the parks. Dining at Disney is an experience. The character meals are fantastic and there are a few other options I recommend. Take a look at the menus for Coral Reef Restaurant at EPCOT and 50's Prime Time Café at Disney's Hollywood Studios. Click on View menu from the home page. Scroll through the menu to see the allergy-friendly options. You can also view all dining to see other available dining locations or search for other options. If you are looking for more budget-friendly options, search the Quick Service meals. My girls and I just ate at Casey's Corner in Magic Kingdom a few days ago. We grabbed a table outside and had a great dinner just before finding a viewing spot for the Happily Ever After fireworks.

Eleanora, I hope this gives you some options. And, in the spirit of Tiana, I have to add, you are almost there

    Magic and memories,
