Due to my children's schedules the only time we can visit the park is the end of June to the first week in July - how are the crowds? The site used to have when the busiest time of the year is but I couldn't find anything. Thanks

    Hi Tammy,

Thanks for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel for assistance planning your Walt Disney World Resort vacation!

I'm assuming that you're referring to the last week of June and first week of July in 2019, so I will base my response on that. Historically, the week of the 4th of July is extremely busy in the Disney Parks. Additionally, Canada Day is July 1st, so it makes for even more people taking advantage of a few extra days off. The Orlando crowd calendar on the Undercover Tourist website ranks those days as a 9/10 on average, with 10 being the highest / busiest crowds possible. The Touring Plans website has similar rankings. That all being said, I wouldn't let that discourage you from a magical family vacation. It's really a matter of managing expectations for your family. If you go into it knowing that the crowd levels are high, you can plan accordingly. Make sure to book your FastPass+ selections and Advanced Dining Reservations for the most popular attractions and restaurants. I also highly recommend that you plan to visit Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park or Disney's Blizzard Beach Water Park. These fun parks offer a break from the summer heat and crowds are generally manageable. Planning a pool day at your resort is also a great way to relax. Also, if you are staying onsite, take advantage of the Extra Magic Hours to visit the parks when the crowd levels are a bit lighter.

I hope this helps. We would love to help you plan your magical vacation, so be sure stop back by with any questions that you may have.

    Wishing you magical memories,
