Due to budgeting needs, we do not want to purchase the park hopper option. Is Downtown Disney/Boardwalk considered a seperate park? If we went there, would we then be able to go the Magic Kingdom on the same day?

    Hi Jennifer,

Good news!  Downtown Disney and the Boardwalk at Disney's Boardwalk Inn & Villas are not theme parks.  They are fun shopping and entertainment centers that do not require any tickets for admission so, yes, you may visit these regions of the Walt Disney World Resort and the Magic Kingdom on the same day even if you do not have a park hopper ticket.  You would only need a single-day, one park ticket to enter the Magic Kingdom.
