Are there Dr.'s or a Pharmacy on the Disney property? If not, where would you get an emergency script from my child's primary Dr. called into?

    Hi Danielle!

I have had occasions where a visit to a doctor and pharmacy was unavoidable, and it was not a fun experience while on vacation at Walt Disney World. However, I fully understand that sometimes, it is necessary.

Based on my research, there are no pharmacies located on property; however, you can get an emergency prescription just about anywhere in the surrounding area of Orlando (Publix, CVS, etc.) One location that I find convenient is Walgreen's in Kissimmee. They are open 24 hours, and while the pharmacy has limited hours, there is a Take Care Clinic that accepts most insurance plans.

If you do not have car, there is an alternative pharmacy that is available; Turner Drugs-Tourist Prescription Service (407)828-8125. There is a $7.50 delivery charge, and while they do not bill insurance companies directly, they will fill out a reimbursement form for you to mail to your insurance provider.

Just a quick call from your doctor is all that any of the pharmacies will need. Be sure to check with the pharmacies for more information.

I hope this helps, and take care!
