Hi can I be dropped off by a family member at the parks without having to pay for parking l?

Hey there Phyllis and welcome to planDisney!

You are one lucky person to have a family member that will drop you off at the Most Magical Place on Earth when they aren't getting to join the fun themselves. Now that's a real-life Fairy God Person. I'm sure paying for parking is the exact place their magic ends. Not to worry! You don't have to push the boundaries of their benevolence any further. When I've used rideshare in the past the driver simply told the Cast Member at the Guest Parking booth they were dropping me off. They were then directed where to go. There's usually a designated area for Drop Offs. Then just a quick walk to the park entrance and you're ready to start your day...unless you're going to Magic Kingdom Park. That one has an extra step. Guests have to be dropped off at the Ticket and Transportation Center. From there you choose from the iconic Monorail or the fantastic Ferry to carry you into that practically perfect place.

Pro tip: Take the Ferry in and the monorail out! The monorail is one of the most well-known modes of transportation at Walt Disney World. But nothing beats seeing that sun on the water as you glide serenely towards the port and watch the magic shimmer into view.

Phyllis, you owe your delightful volunteer driver dinner!

    Happy planning!
