Hi Tim: That's disappointing. But it sounds like you are taking steps to find your way into Be our Guest. It's theoretically possible to walk up to Be Our Guest without a reservation and wait for a table. You may be asked to wait for a while, so be prepared. In a handful of cases, I've seen the front desk tell Guests that they will absolutely not have room that evening and they are not accepting walk ups. So be prepared to dine elsewhere if you take the chance on a walk up. Walk up availability will depend on crowd levels, Guest demand, and cancelations that evening. If you have younger or older members in your party who are used to eating at set times, you may not want to take a chance on a walk up.
Your best bet for a walk up would be to head to the restaurant early to get your name down. I would also call Disney Dining every so often to check on last-minute cancelations. I'm hopeful that because schools will be in session, that you will be able to secure a reservation or a walk-up. If not, remember that you can try for a walk-up at lunch. Lines are also long for lunch, so arrive early. Good luck and enjoy your vacation.
