Hi there, Janice!
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I am glad you sailed by with your question about an upcoming Disney Cruise Line vacation! I am sure you are counting down the days until you are celebrating on deck as you set sail with my favorite Captain – Captain Mickey!!
Character experiences while onboard is one of my family’s favorite things about cruising onboard a Disney Cruise Line ship! With so many opportunities to meet and greet with your favorite friends, it’s a magical experience for anyone onboard! In addition to the scheduled character experiences, my family has had countless interactions with characters as they are going from place to place! In fact, just a couple weeks ago while onboard, Captain Hook came out of nowhere while my littlest Mouseketeer was admiring the hidden picture paintings in the Vista Gallery and surprised him from behind! Not only was my little one’s day made, but my husband was able to capture a great memory on camera.
Guests services will no longer accept picture mats or other items to be signed by the characters, but Guests are welcome to bring their items with them to the scheduled character appearances throughout your voyage for signatures. Additionally, if your particular voyage has a character breakfast, you can get signatures during that time as well! Check the list of
“Onboard Fun” activities to secure your complimentary character greeting tickets! We have also found it advantageous to carry around the item(s) we want signed along with a pen or marker because you never know who you might find around the ship!
Happy Sailing!
Stephanie
