Hello, What do you do with your Droid while you are riding? You cannot possibly leave them in a stroller, someone would take them. Are they allowed on rides? TIA

    Bright Suns Tiffanie!

I sense the Force is strong with you as you continue to plan for your journey to a galaxy far far away! The best part, is soon you will be able to live your own Star Wars story at Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge!

You have a few options when it comes to adding a Droid to your family! First, I recommend making your reservation to customize and build your own Droid at Droid Depot as soon as possible! You are able to reserve your spot 180 days prior to your arrival. I recommend doing so since, so many other Travelers are also looking to create their own Astromech Unit. My sister actually made her reservation in the evening so that she didn’t carry her, BBB as she named her, throughout the park all day. That is something you could also do if you wish! If you do choose to make an earlier appointment, no worries you still have many available options!

To ensure that the First Order doesn’t capture your Droid, I suggest renting a locker to safely store it. If you are staying at a Disney Resort Hotel, you may also ask the Clerk at the Droid Depot to register your droid for Resort Hotel Delivery. The Clerk will then be able to quickly make arrangements for your droid to be delivered to your resort hotel. The last option, is to travel the galaxy with your droid in hand. If you do this, I suggest purchasing an Astromech Droid Unit Carrier, which to us Travelers, resembles a backpack. However, keep in mind that the availability of these backpacks at Droid Depot are subject to change. If there are no backpacks available to purchase, you will have to carry your new Droid in its box to prevent the First Order from capturing it! Your Droid unit will be able to join you on rides, but personally I wouldn’t want to rattle my new Droid with all the earthly stuff all at once, so I would probably choose one of the first two options.

I’m so excited that you will soon be building your very own Droid, I suggest to brush up on your Astromech vocabulary since they communicate so well!

May the Force be with you!
