Hi there, Matthew! Welcome to planDisney!
I can see that you've just returned from a visit to the
Droid Depot in a galaxy far, far away. While I won't ask you to confirm if you sided with the Resistance or the First Order, I hope your landing from Batuu was a smooth one back here on Earth. My kids recently brought back Custom Astromech Droid Units, and we are still tinkering around with them as they get used to their new home. We've discovered that after about five minutes of inactivity, the droids will go into sleep mode to conserve energy. This is a learned behavior from their time in Batuu. To wake them up, simply turn the power switch off and on. We've discovered that they will not respond to the remote when asleep, and the power switch location differs depending on the Droid series that you purchased. For the
R-series and
C-series, it is located on the bottom of the droid itself. For the
BB-series, you will need to rotate the body halves to unlatch and open and then slide the power off and then on again.
If for some reason your droid is not responding to these commands, I recommend reaching out to Merchandise Guest Services at merchandise.guest.services@disneyparks.com or (877) 560-6477. You can even reach out to Cast Members on Batuu directly by calling (714) 300-7805!
The next time you're in
Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge, I highly recommend picking up a Cold Brew Black Caf from
Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo. This is an out-of-this-world, high-powered energy boost that is not to be missed! Pair it with the Endorian Roasted Chicken Salad, and you will be rested and refueled for whatever the galaxy throws at you!
Matthew, may the force be with you. If you have any more questions, we are always here for you at
planDisney.
'Til the spires,
Tara
