Greetings, Leanne!
I received your transmission and am pleased to help you on your quest for the perfect day on the planet Batuu.
Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Disney’s Hollywood studios lets you live your own Star Wars adventure, and building an astromech droid unit as a trusty companion is a rite of passage! This was one of my son’s favorite Disney experiences, and I’m happy to help you understand how to manage your plans for a special day.
I’m programmed to report that the official
Guest policy for Droid Depot is that “late arrivals may not be accommodated.” While this is a personalized individual experience, it is quite popular, and the clerks are on a busy schedule since this is the only industrial depot at Black Spire Outpost. In my experience, no one wants you to be disappointed and should give you some grace on arrival but let’s see what you can control to honor your reservation time with the best chances of success. Never tell me the odds...
Keep checking availability to either shift your
dining reservation time slightly earlier or your
Droid Depot reservation slightly later. This would give you more margin in your schedule and reduce stress so you can enjoy everything you have planned. Reservations for both experiences can be changed up to two hours before the scheduled time.
If your plans are locked and loaded, you may also check into your dining reservation early that day. I suggest you visit the host stand at the restaurant in addition to checking in on your
My Disney Experience App so that you can speak to someone about your schedule and potentially be seated sooner than planned. You may also wish to politely share the upcoming Droid Depot reservation with your server so that they can do what’s in their power for you to have a wonderful meal within the time constraints. Traveling the galaxy with precision requires teamwork, Leanne – I'm certain if you take control and communicate your needs, the crew at both your dining location and Droid Depot will do what they can to support your important mission.
I hope you have the BEST time on Batuu! Don't forget to show your new droid around Black Spire Outpost and see how it reacts to its new surroundings. No doubt your new astromech will serve you loyally for many years but be sure to download the
BB-Series or
R-Series Unit Instruction Manual just in case you have any issues with re-entry to your home planet.
Be sure to
send me another direct transmission if you need any further guidance to make the most of your incredible vacation!
May the Force be with you,
Amy
