We are driving to WDW and plan to arrive at Port Orleans RS around 8 or 9 am on Jan 11. Is that too early to check in (we can leave our stuff in the van) so we can get the most out of the day in the parks since we've pd for that day in tickets? Thanks!

    Hi Kelly,

    Thanks for a great question!

You are more than welcome to arrive early at your Disney resort on your day of check-in.  Feel free to head directly to Disney's Port Orleans Resort Riverside on the morning of your first vacation day.  If your Disney resort room happens to be ready when you arrive, the Cast Member at the check-in desk will give you your keys and you'll have immediate access to your room.  More than likely, however, your room will not yet be ready that early in the morning.  That's no problem though!  You can either leave your luggage with Bell Services at the resort or you could leave your bags in your vehicle.  The resort will contact you by phone or text to let you know when your room is ready for occupancy.  Meanwhile, you can head directly to the Disney theme park of your choice.  There's no reason you shouldn't enjoy a full day of fun on the first day of your vacation.

Wishing you a truly magical trip!
