Driving to WDW on Dec. 31 from S. Fla., arriving noon and staying at POR. Going to POR first, then DD to drop off rental car. Will traffic be crazy? What's quickest/least traffic road to get to POR? And possible to drive to Epcot entrance to drop off DH?

    Hi Elizabeth,

How exciting that you are bringing in 2013 at the Happiest Place on Earth!!!  You will really enjoy staying at Port Orleans, we have stayed there a few times and always have fun.  I can tell you that with what you are planing to do, you couldn't have chose better locations closer together!

Downtown Disney, Port Orleans and Epcot are relatively close to each other.  The Port Orleans Resort is off Bonnet Creek Parkway.  On the west side of Bonnet Creek is the Epcot property and a very short drive south on Bonnet Creek will bring you to Buena Vista Drive.  A left turn there and you are at Downtown Disney!

I would suggest that you drop off your husband at Epcot.  Take a quick drive to Downtown Disney, drop the car off and take a boat back to Port Orleans.  From Port Orleans, you can take a Disney Transportation bus straight to Epcot to meet up with your family!

If you have any other questions, please let me know.

    Wishing you a magical vacation!

    Carrie
