We will be driving to Orlando to visit WDW in May 2016. I was wondering does the Port Orleans Riverside hotel have bell service that takes your luggage to your room upon arrival? Also does this hotel have elevators? I have a family member with poor knees.

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel Brittany! Disney’s Port Orleans Resort-Riverside is such a perfect choice!

Disney’s Port Orleans-Riverside offers many Walt Disney World Resort amenities, including Bell Services. Upon your arrival at the resort center, Sassagoula Steamboat Company, drop your luggage off with Bell Services (to the left of the main entrance doors), who will deliver your luggage to your room.

Elevators are available only in the Magnolia Bend section, not in the Alligator Bayou section of the resort. If you are set on staying in Alligator Bayou, may I suggest you note your room requests at the time of your booking, or during your Online Resort Check-In. Cast Members that allocate rooms always take noted requests seriously, and do their best to accommodate.

For added convenience, you may wish to consider staying at Magnolia Bend’s Oak Manor, which is nearest to the resort center, Sassagoula Steamboat Company ( offering Guest Services, Concierge, Bell Services, gift shops and dining). In the Alligator Bayou section, you’ll find that buildings 14, 15, and 18 are closest to the resort center.

Brittany, you’ll greatly enjoy your stay at this picturesque resort and benefit from the helpful Cast Members throughout your visit. Spring is a wonderful time to visit, and you’ll find the Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival in full bloom!

Wishing you a most magical, unforgettable vacation Brittany, thank you for consulting the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question.
