Driving in large RV 34 ft, can we also pitch a tent on the premium site, can we park a rental car(s) so the early risers can get to the park and the late nighters can stay late at the park, are the magic hours included with the stay.

    Jason:

Thanks for the question! Fort Wilderness is our family's home away from home!

The premium sites do not have the sand pads behind the paved parking pad like other sites do.  When Disney upgraded many of the loops to premium loops, one of the upgrades was paving the entire pad. You shouldn't have a problem pitching your tent on the pad, provided your tie-downs can reach the bare ground surrounding the pad. Even with a 34-footer, you should have enough room to park your RV, pitch a tent and park one car on most premium sites.

Because Fort Wilderness is a Disney-run property, if you have a reservation there, you have access to Extra Magic Hours. You'll need to carry your Key to the World card (even though you don't have a hotel room) because it is proof that you are staying on property. Your park tickets will also be on there if you bought them from Disney and you can have charging privileges added to it, also.

Meet the Panelist: Whitney, Mississippi

My family of 6 appreciates Disney's value! Although Ft. Wilderness is our second home, we've enjoyed the resorts for business, reunions and romantic getaways. For me, Disney also means dining: last count, I'd eaten at 55 restaurants around the World! Learn More About Whitney
