    We are driving to Hollywood Studios on Saturday, January 7th. We want to get there at park opening but the marathon is on the same day. Looking at all the road closures, I don’t see how to get there. Does anyone know the best route and have advice? Maybe a

    Hi Tracy! Welcome to planDisney.

    This weekend is your magical arrival at Disney's Hollywood Studios. The Walt Disney World Resort will be crawling with runDisney runners and families this upcoming weekend for the Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend. Your question is important and a great one to bring to us planDisney.

    I was just studying the road closure map to offer a lending hand. While I do not know the direction you will be heading toward Disney's Hollywood Studios on Saturday, it appears the entrance and parking lots are not part of the road closures. In this runDisney link, click on the "runDisney Road Closure" tab. On the left-hand side, I want you to click off of the 5K, 10K, and FM tabs. This action will display the road closures for Saturday, January 7, 2022, only. It will be much easier to read and will populate a list to the left of the specific roads that will be closed. From my experience, runners will be active on the course for much of the morning. Obviously, getting to your destination may take longer, so please plan accordingly.

    One more note, the Walt Disney World® Half Marathon course will not take runners to Disney's Hollywood Studios. This means once you are parked, your day should not be impacted by runners. Although, I encourage you to honk and encourage those runners if you happen to pass them on your way to the park. It means to the world to the running community!
