We are driving to DW & staying on property. This is my 7 yr old DD's 3rd trip but the 1st for my 4 yr old DS. We've kept this trip a secret & would love to suprise them in a big way. Seems like hotel check-in is kind of anti-climactic. Any sugg

    Hey Jennifer!

Surprise vacations make me so excited! I totally want to surprise my family one day! Have you been to the Let the Memories Begin website? My kids spent an hour watching videos of parents surprsing their kids with trips to Disney!

A lot of parents made videos to tell their kids they were going. Others gave them a few gifts that were clues to their trip--like an autograph book and sunglasses. The best part is that they videoed their reactions. I laughed so hard because most of the kids were clueless and didn't get it for the longest time!

I've heard of parents waking their kids up with an "invitation" and princess dress/tiara from Cinderella and then being whisked away to the car or the airport. My 5 year old daughter would LOVE that!

If I was surprising my family, I would love to load them all up in the car like we were going somewhere else and then start driving. Once they realized we weren't going to the dentist or whatever, I'd break out my Mickey ears and say, "We're going to Disney World!"

Oh, I could think about this one forever! I'd love to hear about what you decide to do!
