we are driving to dw and staying on-site i am not sure what to do about parking? where do we need to go we are staying at the all star music

    Hi Cary!

You can park your car at the All-Star Music Resort and just use Disney Transportation during the rest of your vacation.  However, that wouldn't be my personal recommendation.  I recommend that you use your car as much as possible, except perhaps when visiting the Magic Kingdom.

Upon check-in, Disney will provide you with a parking pass (really a piece of paper with information such as what resort you are staying at and the days you will be there) that you can use to park for free at the various theme parks.  It will also help you park at other Walt Disney World Resort hotel parking lots in case you want to dine in or explore the other hotels on property.

Driving your own car is the fastest way to get around on property.  The only except is possible the Magic Kingdom.  That's because if you drive yourself, you will have to park in the Magic Kingdom parking lot.  Then you have to walk or take a tram to the Transportation and Ticket Center.  Then you have to catch a monorail or a ferry boat to the Magic Kingdom.  Disney Transportation, on the other hand, would drop you off right next to the Magic Kingdom.

    Have a magical vacation!
