Hey there, Sediena. Thanks for stopping by
planDisney with your question. You are going to have such a fabulous time at Walt Disney World in October. I love visiting in the fall. The weather is perfect and the Halloween festivities are in full swing.
I think you'll be happy to know that there are places at all four
Walt Disney World Theme Parks,
Disney Springs and some
Walt Disney World Resort Hotels to charge your electric vehicle. These spots are limited, however, and are on a first-come, first-serve basis. Walt Disney World has partnered with ChargePoint for this service. From what I understand, there is a fee for charging and all of that can be handled through the ChargePoint app. If you think you'll be using this service while you are at Walt Disney World, be sure to have it pre-downloaded on your smartphone and have your account set up. This will save you a lot of time once you are at the theme parks. Once your car is fully charged, the app will ping you and you will stop being charged which I think is a really nice feature. You don't have to run out and unplug later in the day.
Here are the spaces currently throughout Walt Disney World:
- Magic Kingdom Park/Transportation and Ticket Center - 5 spaces
- Epcot - 4 spaces
- Disney's Hollywood Studios - 4 spaces
- Disney Animal Kingdom - 4 spaces
- Disney Springs Lime Garage - 3 spaces
- Disney Springs Orange Garage - 3 spaces
- Disney Springs Grapefruit Garage - 3 spaces
- Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge Kidani - multiple spaces throughout the garage
- Disney's Coronado Springs Resort - 6 Spaces
- Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground - Each campsite is equipped with power
- Disney's Riviera Resort - 2 spaces
- Disney's Wilderness Lodge - 2 spaces
Parking at each of the Walt Disney World Theme Parks costs $25 per day for standard parking plus what you'll pay for charging if you choose to use that service. Once you've paid for the day, hold on to your receipt. If you plan to park hop, show the receipt to the parking attendant at the next park and you won't have to pay again.
I hope this helps you plan out your car charging situation throughout your vacation, Sediena. If you have any other questions, please come back and ask us. Happy planning!
