Hi, We're driving to Caribbean Beach Resort from the Orlando Airport on January 10, 2016. We're concerned about road closures during the marathon. Will it be a problem getting to our resort around 11 am?

    Hi, Josephine!

While you may run into some slower traffic as you enter Walt Disney World® Resort from World Center Dr. (536) to Epcot Center Dr, with the route you will take from Orlando International Airport to Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort, you should not encounter any road closures. Past routes for the Walt Disney World® Marathon have never closed any roads that affect areas near Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort.

That said, there are changes expected to be made to the 2016 marathon course to accommodate enhancements that are taking place around Walt Disney World® Resort - so please check back with me as we get closer to January and the new course map is reveled. Baring any significant changes to the course, traffic delays will be the only inconvenience as the race will still be in full swing at 11:00am.

I hope to hear from you again near the end of the year for updated information, Josephine!

    Have a magical day!
