Will my drivers license work that says "Veteran" on it to activate military discount tickets, so I do not have to carry and possibly lose my military Veteran ID.

Hey there, Dawn! Welcome to planDisney! We are so glad you've taken the time to bring us your question! On behalf of all of us here at planDisney, please let me take the time to thank you for your service.

It sounds like you were able to take advantage of the Disney Military Promotional Park Hopper Tickets and are planning a holiday visit. How special! Our family loves being able to enjoy the parks with this special offer too. Unfortunately, your driver's license would not work to validate your tickets at the gate. In the Important Details section of the Disney Military Promotional Tickets page, you will see it states that valid military identification will be required for purchase and use. These tickets are only available to "Eligible Service Members", so a driver's license saying "Veteran" would not be sufficient enough. I would hate for you to get all the way to the parks and not be allowed entry because of this. The good news is that you only need to show your ID when you use your tickets for the first time, after that you can scan in without ID, so you can leave it safely in your hotel room safe or at home. If you purchased standard tickets on base that were just slightly discounted and can be used by anyone, you would not need identification to activate these.

If you are still putting together your plans and are looking at hotels, be sure to inquire to see if any Disneyland Resort Hotel has available rooms with a military rate. There's something just a little bit more magical when you wake up on Disneyland property. And if you really want to get ahead on planning, the Disney Military Promotional Park Hopper Tickets are back for 2024!

Dawn, thanks so much for stopping by. I hope you have a magical visit to Disneyland Resort.
