My driver's license says "not for federal identification"on it. Can I still use this to pick up my ticket at the ticket window?

Hi Mike and welcome to planDisney!

How exciting that your Walt Disney World vacation is coming up in just a couple of months!  Fall is such a great time to visit and I just love seeing all of the fall decorations up all around the "World".  My favorite are the Mickey pumpkins on the lamp posts at Magic Kingdom Park.  Now, if we could just get a little fall-ish weather to go with the fall decorations, that would be lovely!

I had to do a little deep dive into this for you because I was unfamiliar with the wording on your driver's license.  I am from Florida and it looks like we have the same type of driver's licenses, so what the wording, "NOT FOR FEDERAL IDENTIFICATION", means is that you cannot board a domestic flight or enter a federal building.  You would need a REAL ID, the type that have the gold star in the corner, to do so.  If you and your family are planning on flying to Florida for your vacation, I would inquire if your standard ID is sufficient to fly.  As far as Walt Disney World goes, I spoke with a friendly Cast Member who let me know that your state-issued driver's license is acceptable to pick up your theme park tickets.

Please stop back by and visit if you have any additional vacation planning questions.

    Have a magical day!
