We want to drive down and fly back next trip. Can we drive rental on resort property for check in only before returning it and not be charged the resort parking fee? We will not keep car for entire vacation.

    Hi Jaynee,

Each time we drive down to "The Most Magical Place on Earth," my heart gets this giddy feeling when we pass under the entrance sign, knowing we're about to experience SO MUCH magic and fun!

I'm happy to let you know that if you decide to drive a rental car down and return it after checking in at your Disney Resort hotel, you won't be charged a parking fee. The parking fees are added to room charges for Guests whose vehicles are left there overnight, and you'll be entitled to a few hours of complimentary parking just like a day Guest. I'd simply encourage you to explain to the security guard at the gate and the Cast Member at the front desk that you won't be keeping your vehicle to avoid any confusion.

The great thing about a Walt Disney World Resort vacation is that Disney provides all of the transportation you need, and you can just sit back, relax, and enjoy your bus, monorail, ferryboat (or soon, your gondola!) ride. Of course, the Minnie Van Service is another convenient and adorable way to get around! Plus, don't forget that Disney's Magical Express will even be able to take you to the airport when it's time to return home, so you won't need to worry about that ride, either! Just make sure to reserve this complimentary service when you book your trip or prior to your trip by calling (407) 939-1936.

Thanks so much for bringing me this great question, Jaynee, and please let me know if I can help with anything else as you plan your next Disney adventure!
