Boo to you, Benjamin!
Welcome to planDisney. Halloween Time at the Disneyland Resort is such a spook-tacular time to be in the parks, especially when you're headed to the frightfully fun
Oogie Boogie Bash! Dressing up as your favorite characters from a galaxy far, far away sounds like a blast. It's a good idea to check in on this year's costume guidelines before making your grand entrance, so let's take a look.
There are
special guidelines and exceptions around costumes for Guests attending the Oogie Boogie Bash, particularly for Guests 14 and older. It's a good idea to read through them fully to ensure a smooth entry at the Main Entrance Gates. The good news is that capes are permitted as long as the length does not go below the waist. Since the Mandalorian's signature is his helmet, it's worth noting that masks are not permitted, and headwear may be worn as long as it does not cover the face. That might be some mixed news for you, but it's better to be in the know than surprised when you are scanning into the parks. If, for some reason, the security Cast Members do not permit certain elements of your costume, you can always
rent a locker located in the Esplanade, just to the left of the Disneyland Park Main Entrance, to store your items. This is a great option, so you don't waste a magical minute walking back to your car or hotel room.
With the party kicking off at 6:00 PM, don't forget that with your ticket, you are allowed to enter California Adventure as early as 3:00 PM. I love this bonus time! It's a good time to check off any must-do attractions so that you can fully enjoy the limited-time offerings of the Oogie Boogie Bash once it starts. You can even take advantage of some of the attractions with Halloween overlays during this time, particularly
Guardians of the Galaxy—Monsters After Dark! When you check in, you will be given an event guide detailing all of the fun that awaits! I highly recommend taking a moment to stop and grab some dinner before 6:00 PM so you are fully charged for the evening ahead. This is a great time to peruse the event guide and create a must-see to-do list.
Benjamin, I hope this was helpful in your planning! If you want to do a little planning, the Disney Parks Blog has released a complete

Magic awaits!
