    Dress on the cruise says "cruise casual" which indicates no shorts. How strict is the cruise line on enforcing no shorts. I am travelling w/three boys, 15, 12 and 11 and my husband (fourth boy) and it's tough enough getting them to wear nicer c

    Hi Mary Lee,

    I know that cruise casual says no shorts, but here's the deal:  My husband is a tshirt and shorts kinda guy.  So is my 11 year old son.  For your sons, I would just make sure that they are dressed neatly.  Maybe a polo and nice "dressier" shorts like bermudas would be perfect.  It's what my guys wear and there's never been an issue.  I know my son wore shorts to every meal, every day, EXCEPT formal night.  That's my night for everyone to look good.  I get one nice picture per year of the family and this one is it!  It's a professional photographer and your 8x10 is super cheap!  My family can handle my request for a couple of hours:)

    If you are going to Palo and Remy, forget about it...they will never let anyone in with shorts.  Not done...ever.  By the way, your men can wear nice jeans too if they prefer that to shorts.
