For the Dream sailing on a 5 night cruise from Ft Lauderdale on 3/31, is there a way to know which night is going to be pirate night in order to plan bookings for the boutique and adult dinners? Also, is there a formal night and if so, which night?

Ahoy there, Audrey! Planning for some swashbuckling adventure aboard the Disney Dream, are ye'? Aye, knowing when the pirates are planning to take over the ship is helpful to prepare to don your eye patch and secure some of those priceless adult dining reservations.

Generally speaking, Pirate Night tends to be the day you spend exploring the treasures on Castaway Cay. As you are ready to set sail in just over two months, your online booking window should be open or opening very soon. A trick I have learned from my years at sea: check the daily activities under Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique for the day they offer "Pirates League" makeovers. This is an indication the pirates will be partying that evening.

Formal nights are typically only on sailings of seven nights are longer. Five-night cruises usually have an optional dress-up night. You will see people in everything from cruise casual to fancy. The dress code has the most information on what to expect for attire each evening. Although five nights is not on the list, they are pretty similar to four-night cruises in how the evenings are structured.

You can see all the onboard fun and Port Adventures at Grand Cayman and Castaway Cay available for you to enjoy when you draw up anchor and set a course for blue waters and big adventures. Be sure to download the Disney Cruise Line Navigator App to scout all the happenings. Through the app, you can make reservations before your cruise, and it will be a great compass as you navigate your time on deck.

Wishing you clear skies and happy pirates on your days at sea.

    Happy Cruising!
