Hi there, Heather! Welcome to planDisney, and thank you for sailing our way with your question. My pals and I are here to help you as best we can.
If I were in your shoes and hoping to stay connected with both social media and online gaming while onboard, I'd choose to purchase the Disney Cruise Line Internet + Streaming package once on the ship. It's not likely that you'll need to purchase both the cell phone cruise package and the
Disney Cruise Line internet package. From what I've read, the data from your cellular service provider can run out quickly. With that being said if you will need to make phone calls while on the ship, it could be best to purchase both.
The Internet + Streaming package is currently priced at $35 per day (prices are subject to change without notice). This package will supply you with access to the internet, social media, texting, Zoom, and Wi-Fi calling. It will also provide access to long-form video streaming sites and apps (like YouTube, Disney+, ESPN+, Hulu, Max, Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, and more) as well as music streaming.
The free onboard Wi-Fi will provide access to the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator app and allow guests to send text-only messages using WhatsApp or iMessage.
I hope this information is what you need as you prepare to set sail with Captains Minnie and Mickey on the
Disney Dream! Please cruise back to us if you have more questions.
Happy Planning,
Adrianna
