We are going on the Dream 4 nt cruise out of port Canaveral. Can you tell me the itinerary: pirate night, formal, semi-formal etc. So I can book plans. Also, do we have to make reservations or queue for the shows?

    Ahoy there, Domia!

We are so glad you joined the planDisney crew to ask this question! There’s just something about having everything all organized and knowing what to expect on the various nights of a Disney sailing. I’m like you in wanting to know about all the fun theme nights and entertainment that's scheduled.

For your 4-night voyage, there will be an optional dress-up night, a Pirate Night, and 2 cruise casual nights. While nothing has been published officially, I have been on the Disney Dream recently and here’s how it worked during our 4-night itinerary. The first night was cruise casual, the second one was optional dress up, the third was cruise casual/pirate themed, and the final night was also cruise casual.

Keep in mind that onboard entertainment is always subject to change, so I highly recommend checking the Disney Cruise Line Navigator app as soon as you board for details of all the events onboard during your cruise. The app will steer you in the right direction as far as the daily activities, live shows, and character appearances. Just stay flexible in case the actual order changes for the theme nights.

Good news! No reservations are necessary for the live shows onboard. Right now on the Disney Dream, Beauty and the Beast will be performed on multiple nights to give everyone a chance to see this spectacular show. I expect more shows to return in the near future. While you do not have to have a reservation or join a virtual queue to attend, I do recommend that you arrive at the Walt Disney Theatre in advance to get better seating since they are having Guests sit with spacing between the parties.

As for the fireworks at sea, you will be assigned a time to attend depending on whether you have Main Seating or Second Seating for rotational dining. You can find out the date and time using the Disney Cruise Line Navigator app. Go a few minutes early to claim a prime viewing spot as they are encouraging Guests to socially distance on deck using blue dots marking the appropriate spots for each travel party.

Domia, I hope you and your family have a DREAMy vacation on your adventure at sea. Say hi to Captain Minnie for me!
