Hello, My dream has been to take my entire family to Disney World once I retired. I am now retired. We are a family of 6 adults, 7 children ages 14yrs to 2 yrs. Where can we stay all together ?. My treat so I need everything. TIA

    Hi Barb!

First, a heartfelt congratulations on your retirement! How beautiful is it that you want to gift your family with a magical vacation to Walt Disney World Resort!

Generally, because you will have more than the capacity amount of 12, you would need to call Disney Resort Hotel Reservations at (407) 939-1936. However, the great news is that you have other options that involve reserving multiple rooms. You have 13 individuals that will be enjoying this time with you, and as a result, I want to recommend two of many options.

The first option would be to reserve three Family Suites at Disney’s Art of Animation Resort. Each room sleeps six individuals, but having three will allow you to spread out a bit and enjoy six bathrooms total in addition to a kitchenette and microwave in each room. To top it off, you will have access to the Disney Skyliner. You could request to have the rooms located next to each so that you can travel from room to room and even gather in one room for a movie or to hang as a family. Please note: though the request is not guaranteed, Disney will do their best to accommodate any requests.

The second option would be to reserve a one and 2-bedroom villa at one of the Deluxe Villas Resorts such as Disney’s Old Key West Resort. The one-bedroom villa sleeps up to 5 adults and has one bathroom while the two-bedroom villa sleeps up to 9 adults and has two baths. Each villa includes amenities such as a full kitchen, dining area, washer and dryer, and a whirlpool tub.

I think that your biggest hurdle is deciding where everyone will stay and once that is secured, all that you have left is to determine specifics such as; how many days you plan to engulf yourself in the magic of the theme parks and whether or not you will include the dining plan. I hope I was able to give you some ideas to get you ready for the planning you have ahead of you.

Please return should you have additional questions for us, we are here to help.

    Have a magical retirement!
