Dream 2013 just booked pre & post cruise at home (BLT) Thinking of OKW 2 nights post DCL! NO parks R & R only just 2 of us 28th anniversary. Other suggestions for resort?(pre cruise 1 night BLT MKV first time park view) plan on spending evening on

    Hello, again, Denise!

It's so nice to see you back with more questions!

Your pre-cruise plan of spending the evening on the balcony of your Bay Lake Tower villa is a great one...especially since you have a Theme Park View! Watching Wishes Nighttime Spectacular from the comfort and privacy of your very own balcony is a treat you will remember, with the Wishes soundtrack available right in your room. What a way to start your anniversary celebration!

For your post-cruise stay, you'll really like Disney's Old Key West Resort! Because it's the first of the Disney Vacation Club resorts, the landscaping is has really matured beautifully; it's so lush and laid-back,  you'll really feel as if you're back in the tropics. Request a room either near Hospitality House (Buildings 11, 12, 13 and 14) or buildings 23, 24, 25 and 26. The first set will place you close to the amenities of the main pool, restaurant, bar and shopping. The second set of buildings are a short walk away too. (We liked to get off the bus at HH, pick up whatever we need for our villa and walk the short distance to buildings 23, 24. Very convenient!)

Our very first trip to WDW sans kids was to Disney's Animal Kingdom-Kidani Village. It was relaxing to have a Savannah View and enjoy a great dinner at Sanaa. Since you're not planning on park days anyway, this little gem may also be perfect as the place for you unwind post-cruise.

Also consider Disney's BoardWalk Villas. I stayed there in December and was blown away by not only the convenient setting, and all of the nearby amenities of the BoardWalk, but also by the beautiful views of Crescent Lake.

Consider, too, where you'd like to dine on those post-cruise days. One of the best parts of residing in a resort that's so close to your dinner reservations is the short commute!

Send more questions as you think of them! I'd love to help you plan this most important anniversary trip!
