Hi Daniela -
Thanks for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel and sending in a question. Your little princess will have the time of her life participating in the fun activities they have at the
Oceaneer Club. I'm continually amazed at how the youth counselors handle each situation at the clubs on a daily basis. They seem to be really talented with kids and show such a fun and engaging demeanor - the kids just love hanging out there with them!
Through the years, I've been grateful to have met lots of youth counselors from different parts of the world whenever we sail with Disney. Though the counselors do vary on each voyage, there is a good likelihood that your daughter will have no issues in communicating with cast members while she plays at the youth clubs. We've seen kids communicating with each other just fine -- even when they don't speak the same language. It's funny, how my kids have always had playmates from other countries and they somehow understand each other (though no spoken words are of the same language).
I would suggest, that you visit the Youth Clubs on embarkation day to meet some of the youth counselors. They can also confirm if they have a counselor (or another cast member on board) who can help communicate in Portuguese.
Wishing you a splashtacular time on your upcoming voyage, Daniela!
