Hi Sarah,
Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! My son went through what we called the "year of strep throat" when he was younger so I understand your concern. On our many vacations to the Walt Disney World Resort, we have had the unfortunate experience of one of us needing to be seen by a doctor.
My fellow panelist, Kay, gave a great answer to a guest last year with a similar question that details the services available. Centra Care remains a reliable urgent care practice and they will send a shuttle for you. If you ask at the Front Desk or Lobby Concierge at your resort they can give you the current phone number to call.
Once when my son was sick and we were certain it was strep, we called the Doctors on Call service that Kay suggests. The Doctor came to our room at Disney's Bay Lake Tower and gave my son a thorough exam including a rapid strep test. When the test came back positive, the Doctor arranged to have medication delivered. The service was not cheap but it was worth it to have such great service.
If you are in the parks and your daughter is feeling unwell, I highly recommend the
First Aid centers. They are staffed by nurses who can direct you to appropriate services. However, I'm sending you pixie dust that your child will remain healthy until and during your vacation!
Sarah, thank you for visiting us with your question. I hope you'll let us know if we can help you with any other planning questions.
Wishing you a magical and healthy vacation,
Amy H.
