Hello DPMs! We will be celebrating our daughter's 8th bday at MK, with dinner res at the Crystal Palace. We are not a cake-eating family, so can we bring our own candles for whatever dessert she selects, or could the staff supply some? TIA! :)

Hi Lisa! Your daughter is certainly a lucky little girl to be able to celebrate her birthday at Walt Disney World this year. She will remember this special day for years to come. Be sure and pick up a Happy Birthday button for her to wear from any Guest Relations or resort desks.

I think every family has some non-cake eating members. And I love that you are looking beyond the tradition of a cake and finding something different. The restaurants will always help the guests celebrate their special days. Most will have candles on hand as they do place them in cakes but they will certainly work with you and your tastes. With that said I would maybe stick a couple of candles in your bags that morning just in case. Let your server know ahead of time that you would like to choose something different for your daughter to celebrate her birthday. Check out what is offered on the buffet and let your server know so they can bring it to the table. Walt Disney World is a great destination for celebrations and they will surely make it extra special for your daughter.

The Crystal Palace will be a magical backdrop and add to that all of the Winnie the Pooh characters will help your daughter have the birthday of her life.
