Hey there, Christine! Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!
It sounds like you’ll soon be headed to the Happiest Place on Earth to be one of the first people to get to experience it upon its reopening — how amazing for you! It is so important to be prepared in times like this. As you likely already know, it will be a requirement for all guests ages 2 and up who are visiting the
Disney Parks to wear face coverings at all times except when dining or swimming. You will need to supply your own face covering, so bring them along, and do not forget a few for backup!
There are now some
guidelines regarding face coverings. They must fully cover the nose and mouth while allowing the Guest to remain hands-free. A snug but comfortable fit against the side of the face is a must. It must also secure with ties or ear looks, and be made of breathable material, either disposable or reusable.
Christine, while I have not found specific guidelines regarding masks with valves, I would say if you have concerns about your mask and can wear one that fits these guidelines most closely, that would be my advice for you. Thank you for gathering all the information regarding your face covering before your vacation, so that your travel party and those around you can have the most enjoyable, safest visit possible! And of course, Walt Disney World reminds its Guests that face coverings are no substitute for maintaining physical distancing.
When everyone does their part to keep everyone happy and healthy, that is true magic in my book! For further information on reopening guidelines and procedures, please check the
Travel Information page and the
Disney Parks Blog for all the latest news. If you have any other questions prior to your trip, please come back to see us again!
See ya real soon!
